Censored?- We are millions
“Unfortunately, a sign of the times is that ‘some reactions’ is sufficient to remove artistic expressions. But – having this happening in the bastion of Free Speech is beyond comprehension. Media companies should clearly and explicitly tell the house owners that this kind of censorship is completely unacceptable. The exhibition should be reinstalled immediately, and Entra should apologize” – Editor of BA
The Persecution- lest we forget
Def: Persecution is the systematic mistreatment of an individual or group by another individual or group. The inflicting of suffering, harassment, imprisonment, internment, fear, or pain are all factors that may establish persecution. The suffering experienced by the victim must be sufficiently severe.
Making a Martyr
“Sylvi Listhaug (FRP) should defend the artist AFK’s right to paint her and hang the picture on a wall in Bergen. Freedom of expression is important for both of them.” Frode Bjerkestrand Culture Editor of BT
The Elephant in the Room
On the 15th of March 2017, Professor Richard Falk presented to the United Nations, a report congruent with international law that concludes with overwhelming evidence and beyond a shadow of a doubt that Israel is practicing institutionalized and systematic racial domination over the people of Palestine…. Apartheid: Defined by international law as a crime against humanity, second only to genocide.
Empire of Sweet Dreams
From a distance, a superficial narrative can be sensed, but as you move closer more details come into view that elude to a deeper story that raises questions about our conventional understanding of the world.
My assistant is a patient at the Kronstad DPS and while attending his weekly group therapy he had been drooling at this beautiful wall right at the Bybanen stop. So when it turned out that this stencil was a perfect size for the wall, there was no doubt, it had to be done.
The wall was a bit of a logistical challenge. Guards sitting inside watching a rotating camera directly over our heads being the most obvious obstacle…
Question Everything but this Statement
The piece started with a girl looking at a butterfly. A few days later it was a small Alice from Wonderland. Then about a week later she was inspecting a miniature version of herself.
“Do not indoctrinate your children. Teach them how to think for themselves, how to evaluate evidence, and how to disagree with you.”
– Richard Dawkins
Enjoy the real thing
This piece caused a bit of a reaction and was removed a few days after it was put up.
That was expected of course, and the intention was to force some deeper reflection on the terrorism narrative we have been subjected to. 2,5 – 6 trillion dollars (depending on how you calculate this), of military force has been pumped into the middle east since 2003… just to chase down what was originally a few terrorists. Some people are quite literally making a killing on these artificial wars…
In case of emergency, Break the system
I think most of us are deeply concerned about the world we leave to our children. Yet we let ourselves be manipulated by the capitalist consumer agenda, which prefers that we spend time on mindless reality tv and hedonistic comforts. For me it is obvious that this behavior implies that we are sawing off the branch we all sit on. Our critical sense must be cultivated already in primary school. This is gravely important in developing a progressive and engaged society that responds to criticism from the grassroots.
The Unusual Suspects – 2015
This is a tribute to those who stand up for the rights of all against the american warmongering machine.
We live in a world where the US systematically violate the rights of citizens across the globe, especially outside of the US where even leaders of their allies are subject to wire-tapping.
We live in a world where the US scares their allies into breaking international law in a desperate attempt to retaliate against whistleblowers. They even do this to the point where they are willing to force their allies into landing a airplane carrying the Head of State…
