Thanks to Morten Heszlein, the artists and everyone involved (see post below) in making this event a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable experience. Almost all the artworks got a new home and Aesthetic Prosthetic raised 300,000 kroner for the prosthetic limb workshop in Gaza!

This little installation is a reminder and an appeal to Anniken Huitfeldt and Jonas Gahr Støre: to respond to the case of Julian Assange and the precedent his potential extradition will set for the future of investigative journalism, in a manner that aligns with Norway's humanitarian commitments.

The installation will stand for 2-3 days before moving to a new location.

Freedom Convoy For the past month, Canadian truck

Freedom Convoy

For the past month, Canadian truckers have been peacefully protesting vaccine passport mandates (not vaccines). Their numbers have been estimated at between 50-250,000 people. They crowd funded almost 10 million dollars in donations from around the globe through the “Freedom Convoy"- GoFundMe campaign.

At the height of the pandemic, they were hailed as heroes, but now, Prime minister Justin Trudeau has doubled down. He is calling them “Rascist and misogynistic extremists” who are "taking up space". On the 15th of February he invoked the “Emergency economic orders”, giving the government the power to freeze all the donations and the bank accounts of anyone they see fit. Yesterday he invoked the “Emergency measures regulations” which prohibits public gatherings and gives the police more power. This has seen an increase in police brutality already. Coupled with this has been a smear campaign by the largest media organisations, portraying them as right-wing extremists. I have been following the developments of this movement since the beginning, and nothing could be further from the truth. They have even taken their time to feed and aid the homeless along their paths.

I made this strange little paste-up in solidarity with these freedom fighters, and to raise awareness around the state of democracy in Canada. If this can happen there, it can happen anywhere.

The Norwegian government will be revising whether or not to extend our Koronasertifikat in the beginning of March 2022. Over the weekend, @miss.printed, @staalegerhardsen and I froze down 100+ little paper figures made from sketches and collages, and spread them around Trondheim. They represent us and the flora and fauna of our planet. In a few days or weeks, depending on their location, the ice will melt and they will turn to mush.

It’s easy to point the finger at the biggest contributors to climate change and pollution and lose hope at their inability to change, but we are the ones consuming the products and we are the ones who can make a difference. Whether it be cutting down on your meat intake or supporting an environmental activist, a small sacrifice by many can make a huge difference. The power lies in our ability to care enough, that we all take some form of action. We really are, all in this together.
